About Doctor Crystal Lee
Background
Dr. Crystal Lee, PhD, MPH, MLS, is an esteemed enrolled member of the Navajo Nation and one of only five Native American infectious disease research doctors in the United States. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor at the University of New Mexico's College of Population Health. Recognized as one of three people in the U.S. changing health equity by Scientific American, Dr. Lee's contributions to public health are profound and far-reaching.
As the Founder and CEO of United Natives, a nonprofit organization celebrated by USA Today, Dr. Lee has forged impactful partnerships with prominent entities such as the NFL Alumni Association (Las Vegas Chapter), L'Oréal USA / L'Oréal Fund for Women, the Arizona Cardinals, the Phoenix Suns, Rucker Park, and other professional sports teams and players. Additionally, she is the visionary behind Dr. B Collections, a fashion line that merges her passion for health and style.
Skills
Dr. Lee's entrepreneurial spirit also led her to own two men's professional basketball teams in Mexico. She holds influential positions on the United Nations North American and Global Indigenous Women's Caucus and the L'Oréal USA Board of Directors for Diversity and Inclusion. Her exceptional leadership and dedication to advancing Native communities have earned her the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development's 40-under-40 award and recognition by President Bill Clinton via the Clinton Global Initiative University.
